The Wise Ones tarry not in the pleasure grounds of the senses.
The Wise Ones heed not the sweet-tongued voices of illusion.

If through the Hall of Wisdom, you choose to reach the Vale of
Bliss, Disciple, close fast your senses against the great dire heresy
of Separateness that weans you from the rest.

The Pupil must regain the child state he has lost before the first
sound can fall upon his ears.
* * *
To live to benefit mankind is the first step. To practice the
six glorious virtues is the second.
* * *
If the Sun you cannot be, then be the humble planet.
Be humble, if you would attain to Wisdom. Be humbler still,
when Wisdom has been mastered.

The Teacher can only point the way. The Path is one for all;
the means to reach the Goal must vary with the Pilgrims.

Have you attuned your being to Humanity's great pain, O
candidate for light?
* * *
Compassion speaks and says:" Can there be bliss when all
that live must suffer?" Shall you be saved and hear the whole
world cry?"
